Barefoot

Barefoot, originally uploaded by jtobiason08.

On May 2nd, CENCA held an Earth Day Fair (Earth Day was a week earlier, but the date didn`t work so well with schedules). At this fair, there were various contests from the best meal (cooked by local women), sketches about the need for community activism, bands, artisan work, and dances done by local schools. This was one of the dances. I believe it origonated from the Ayacucho region. It was truly beautiful.

  1. question - what kind of digicam do you have again? I remember it took great quality pics and I'm in the market. Also - how did you manage to get all your film to Peru? I'm just too nervous about eray machines...

Beautiful pics by the way. :)

  2. I have used 4 cameras here:
    Panasonic lumix FS5 (FANSTASTIC)
    Panasonic Lumix FS3 (good)
    Casio xslim S7BK (absolutely awful)
Casio xslim EXZ77 (good, but old)

I like my old casio, but the new one was a real suckface. But the Panasonics were wonderful cameras and I highly recommend them to other people (well as long as you don´t want to shill out the dough for a DSLR).

And when I flew down, I just had them hand check my film, but then have flown a few times since then and forgotten to check it, and it has gone through the machines and have had no problems.
